Celebrate the Jubilee with Friends in The Imperial Buildings

Taking place on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee event will see a 1950s theme and a programme, including a travelling variety show, vintage market, miniature steam train, 1950s hair pin ups by Lox hairdressers, programme of tea dancing, vintage vehicles and performances by local community groups.
The Town Centre will be adorned with metres upon metres of red, white and blue bunting plus hundreds of tables and chairs. People can bring their own picnics, prepare a hamper or purchase something from one the many town centre shops or cafes, many of which will have prepared special Jubilee food for the day.
With so much colour and animation Rotherham Town Centre is expected to draw in huge crowds to celebrate this once in a lifetime event. The whole event is set to be filled with family entertainment and one not to be missed

To mark the Jamie Oliver sponsored international Food Revolution Day ( http://foodrevolutionday.com) this Saturday the team at Ministry of Food Rotherham will be stepping out of the centre and will be positioned outside facing All Saints Square on Saturday taking to people about the Ministry and its work, promoting, celebrating Food Revolution Day and providing free advice on cooking, recipes and anything else to do with eating well.
